1. Testing documentation

Ascension maintains a public Certificates of Analysis library with search fields for product name, SKU, batch/lot, cap color, purity and date. The page currently states that it contains 85 COA records.

Across the product pages sampled, Ascension presents COA entries with a product, quantity, laboratory, batch number and test date. Examples include T-30, T-10, R-10, S-5, LL-37, SS-31, DSIP, KPV and catalogue blends. Several pages show both a newer Kovera Labs record and an older MZ Biolabs record for the same product.

This is stronger evidence than a generic statement that “COAs are available,” because the public product page connects the documentation to identifiable lots. It is still necessary to inspect the underlying document for methods, results, acceptance criteria and provenance before treating a COA as strong evidence of a particular analytical attribute.

2. Batch traceability

Batch traceability is a notable strength of the public presentation. Sampled product pages expose lot numbers and dates directly alongside the laboratory name. For example, the current T-30 page shows Kovera Labs batch 35-05260628 dated May 26, 2026 and an earlier MZ Biolabs batch 35-01260229 dated February 13, 2026.

We therefore record batch traceability as verified at the website-interface level. This does not establish that every historical or current product has identical documentation, or that a displayed document corresponds to the physical lot currently held by a customer.

3. Laboratory identification

The sampled pages identify Kovera Labs and MZ Biolabs as the laboratories associated with displayed COAs. Ascension describes these as third-party laboratories and says its products are independently tested by accredited third-party laboratories.

At this stage, we classify the laboratory relationship as supplier-documented. We do not infer laboratory independence, accreditation scope or analytical competence beyond what can be established from the underlying documentation.

4. Document-level cross-check: T-30

A publicly indexed PeptideBenchmark record preserves an Ascension T-30 certificate for batch 35-05260628. The record attributes the certificate to Kovera Labs and reports a report number, an identity panel, a measured quantity of 33.36 mg and a reported purity of 98%. The record also states that the certificate includes sterility, endotoxin and heavy-metal panels.

However, PeptideBenchmark explicitly discloses a commercial affiliate relationship with Ascension Peptides. We therefore treat this record as a secondary document cross-check, not as independent editorial verification. Its value is that it provides an external preservation and attribution trail; it does not remove the need to inspect the underlying certificate or establish chain of custody.

We also found a potential date discrepancy worth tracking: the Ascension product page lists the MZ Biolabs T-30 certificate as tested February 13, 2026, while PeptideBenchmark's vendor profile currently lists a vendor PDF whose filename contains 20260212. We are not resolving that discrepancy by assumption. The underlying document should be checked before either date is treated as definitive.

5. What the public evidence can and cannot establish

The public interface establishes that Ascension makes lot-linked testing documentation available for many products, and an external archive can corroborate attribution of at least one Kovera T-30 certificate. It does not establish that every displayed COA uses the same analytical methods, that every product is tested for every relevant attribute, that all identity claims are independently verified, or that a laboratory's accreditation covers every method shown.

A COA can describe a tested sample without proving the identity of every unit sold, current inventory status, manufacturing consistency or chain of custody. We will therefore not turn the presence of a COA or a high purity number into an automatic quality score.

6. Document-level review still in progress

  • Exact HPLC method and reported purity on a broader sample of individual COAs.
  • Whether mass spectrometry is consistently reported and how identity is demonstrated.
  • Any stated acceptance criteria, specifications or reference standards.
  • Whether sterility, endotoxin, residual solvent or other contaminant testing is performed where relevant.
  • Whether laboratory accreditation can be independently established and for which methods or scopes.
  • Whether each displayed certificate can be matched unambiguously to the currently sold lot.
  • Whether the same documentation standard is maintained across the full catalogue rather than a selected sample.

Preliminary editorial assessment

Documentation transparency: promising. The public COA library and lot-linked product-page records provide substantially more visible documentation than a supplier page that only makes a generic testing claim.

Batch traceability: strong at the website-interface level. Multiple sampled products expose lot numbers, laboratories and test dates.

External document cross-checking: useful but not independent. The T-30 certificate is preserved in a secondary database with a disclosed affiliate relationship. That improves the evidence trail for that particular document but does not generalize automatically to every product or lot.

Editorial confidence: provisional. We are deliberately withholding a final numerical Peptide Choice Score until a systematic sample of underlying COA documents and analytical details has been reviewed.
