1. Current supplier documentation
American Peptides currently publishes a COA lookup system in which a lot number can be matched to its certificate. Its published certificates include product name, lot number, certificate identifier and purity result. The supplier also states that each production run is tested by an independent contract analytical laboratory before release.
The current public catalogue gives unusually concrete examples rather than only saying “COAs available.” For example, current records include BPC-157 lot PX1BPC5-0021 at 99.13%, Ipamorelin lot PX1IPA10-0021 at 99.86%, CJC/Ipamorelin No DAC blend lot PX1CJCIPA10-0021 at 99.75%, and a GLOW Blend at 95.50%.
2. Independent COA coverage
ASCEND's June 2026 independent-COA report lists 40 American Peptides COAs with an average reported purity of 99.89%. The same report lists 40 Bioviridians results at an average reported purity of 99.89%. ASCEND describes its dataset as approved independent laboratory certificates whose test date falls within the reporting month.
This is useful evidence because it is not simply a summary copied from the supplier's marketing page. However, it remains an index of COA records rather than a substitute for inspecting every original certificate. Our review therefore treats the 40-record figure as evidence breadth, not as a blanket guarantee for every product or batch.
3. What the current certificates show
The supplier's published certificates are lot-specific and provide a direct traceability path. The current COA page also states that identity is confirmed using HPLC retention time and mass spectrometry, while purity is calculated by HPLC area percentage.
One important counterexample is the 95.50% GLOW Blend result. The presence of this result is editorially useful: it demonstrates that the published evidence is not simply a catalogue of identical 99%+ figures. We should therefore record actual batch results instead of turning the supplier's release specification into a universal product-quality claim.
4. Independent cross-check and remaining gap
Finnrick currently states that it has not published independent laboratory test results for American Peptides as of August 9, 2026. That does not contradict ASCEND's 40-COA dataset; the two services may be indexing different laboratory records and use different publication pipelines.
The practical implication for our methodology is that American Peptides has a substantial external evidence trail, but less multi-source laboratory triangulation than a supplier for which the same batches have been independently tested by several unrelated public testing systems.
5. Evidence strengths
- Public lot-specific COA lookup rather than generic certificates alone.
- Substantial independent COA coverage in the June 2026 ASCEND dataset.
- Named analytical methods and laboratory information are presented on the current supplier documentation.
- The public evidence includes a lower-purity blend result, making the record more useful for auditing than a page showing only idealized results.
Limitations & open questions
- We have not yet inspected the complete underlying set of 40 current-period certificates one by one.
- ASCEND's database is an independent index, not equivalent to independently commissioning our own laboratory testing.
- Finnrick has no published results for this supplier at the current check date, so cross-platform laboratory triangulation is limited.
- Company policies, ownership/legal identity and operational transparency require a separate document-level review before the final score.
6. Why we are withholding a numerical score
American Peptides currently looks stronger on documentary evidence than a supplier that merely claims to provide COAs, but assigning a numerical score now would overstate the completeness of our audit. Our scorecard is intended to reward evidence coverage, not just the existence of an attractive public COA page.
We will assign the final Peptide Choice Score after the current COA sample, company policies and independent evidence are reviewed under the same criteria used for the other supplier profiles.
